Hello Troop 11 Scouts &\ ; Families!
\nLast night the Rankin family graciously hosted our Tro op at their home with a fire to keep us warm on the final day of February. We began the meeting with time for patrol advancement\, and then used the rest of the meeting time to alternate stations that included plank walkin g\, a spider web activity\, and a tarp challenge.
\nOn Sunday\, our Life Rank scouts met to plan our March weekly meetings. We also created a sheet for patrol leaders to log and monitor scout rank advancements. We ex pect non-leadership scouts (Scout\, Tenderfoot\, &\; 2nd Class Rank) to get a requirement signed off at least once a month (more requirements are highly encouraged). We created this to make sure that everyone is progres sing within the troop\, as we want to make sure that every Scout can join leadership eventually and experience the other further ventures such as th e Order of the Arrow that come with these achievements.
\nThank you to everyone who has already volunteered or is signed up to help with our c olonial maple syrup method station at the Stamford Museum &\; Nature Ce nter maple syrup festival!

\nMay 13 - 15: ConnJam - State-wide Scouting Jamboree in Orange\, CT. Troop 11 builds and oversees a giant monkey rope bridge!
\nJUNE TRIP: Block Island\, RI (This tr ip is a Scout favorite and has not happened since 2018 due to Covid\, we c amp on the beach and since space is limited it is important to participate within the troop to ensure a spot.)
\nSpring is approaching and Tro op 11 is in full swing with the many trips ahead. Have a great week everyo ne!
